Johnny Littrell

Coach Johnny Littrell started coaching girls’ fast pitch softball in 1988 and has won seven state championships and qualified for numerous national tournaments.


Littrell became head softball coach at Columbia State in 2003 and led the Lady Chargers softball team to a fifth place finish in the TJCCAA Regional Tournament. In 2004, the Lady Chargers finished second in the Western Division, and fourth in the Regional Tournament. In 2005, the team finished second in the Western Division and third in the Regional Tournament. In 2006, Coach Littrell led the Lady Chargers to finish second in the State and second in the Regional Tournaments.

Rick Stevens

Rick Stevens has been the assistant softball coach at Columbia State for more than a decade. He has coached for six years under the direction of head softball coach, Johnny Littrell, along with another five years under the direction of Coach Eddie Campbell.


A Nashville native, Stevens graduated from East High School in Nashville. He played men’s fast pitch softball for seven years in Nashville and the Middle Tennessee region. He also coached travel softball for 25 years.


Stevens has been a volunteer youth pastor for 15 years. He currently resides in Hohenwald.
