Tournament Medical Protocol


 
2014 Atlanta Legacy Medical Protocol Information:
 
For the 2014 Atlanta Legacy Showcase, we have partnered with CHOA - Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta Sports Management Program to provide Medical Evaluation and Sports Management Services.
In case of an on-field incident, here is the Legacy Showcase Medical Protocol.
  • Umpire will stop game and notify the Park Director.
  • The Park Director will immediately dispatch the on-site CHOA Trainer to the field for Evaluation.
  • The CHOA Trainer will make the assessment for treatment options and render First Aid.
  • In the event of a critical incident, The CHOA Trainer will coordinate with local 911 first responders.
 
In case of an off-field incident, the Protocol is as follows.
 
  • Parent/Coach/Manager will notify the Park Director.
  • The Park Director will immediately dispatch the on-site CHOA Trainer to the incident for Evaluation.
  • The CHOA Trainer will make the assessment for treatment options and render First Aid.
  • In the event of a critical incident, The CHOA Trainer will coordinate with local 911 first responders.
 
CHOA has agreed to provide any athlete pre game wrapping services provided the athlete provides the necessary pre-wrap and tape.
