ATLANTA LEGACY INVITATIONAL RULES

• updated 7-10-24,  "roster" should be lineup, NCV
• ASA/USA rules govern pool and bracket play.  With specific rule exceptions noted below, all other ASA/USA rules apply. 
• Home Team will be determined by coin toss at home plate prior to the game.
• Two balls will be furnished by tournament staff for each game. 
  • First Game Each Day – 2 new balls
  • Following Games – 1 new, 1 used
  • Teams will provide balls afterwards
• No protest allowed. Each park has a UIC on-site. Decisions on the field are final.
• WEATHER:
  • In the event of inclement weather, all teams will clear the field and take cover immediately.
  • Round goes into a 20 minute Delay.  If play cannot resume after 20 minutes, that round may be canceled.  There will be no make-up pool games
  • Legacy reserves the right to shorten games to accommodate play.
• POOL PLAY (SEEDING)
  • Order of Finish: (1) Overall Record (2) Head-to-Head (3) Runs allowed (4) Coin Toss
  • Pool play seeds you into Bracket play
  • Teams will do a blind draw at check-in in the event weather does not permit all pool games to be completed
  • Rosters (Lineups) are not required, and free substitution is allowed
  • Courtesy runners must be last batted out unless the batter was the current Pitcher or Catcher
  • Time Limit:
    • 14U - 1:40 minute game times – no new innings
    • 16U & 18U – 1:50 minute game times – no new innings
    • Finish the Inning
    • Run Rule is 8 after 5, 12 after 4, 15 after 3
• BRACKET PLAY
  • All teams must submit a roster (Lineup) according to ASA/USA rules
  • Time Limit:
    • 14U - 1:40 minute game times – no new innings
    • 16U & 18U – 1:50 minute game times – no new innings
    • Run Rule is 8 after 5, 12 after 4, 15 after 3
    • Completed Game – 4 innings
    • Tie Breaker Applies according to ASA/USA Rules

    • Finish the Batter
    • Scores through the final batter will be the official score
• BRACKET PLAY (BLIND DRAW)
  • All teams must submit a roster (Lineup) according to ASA/USA rules
  • Time Limit – 1:30 minute game times – no new innings
    • Run Rule is 8 after 5, 12 after 4, 15 after 3
    • A Completed Game is 4 innings
    • Tie Breaker Applies according to ASA/USA Rules
