TEAM CLASSIFICATION HELP
The descriptions below are guidelines. The ultimate decision on classification is the overall strength and performance of the team on the field measured by a team's Power Rating. As per USSSA Rule 3.04, a team may be reclassified by USSSA at any time.
MAJOR: The top 20% of the teams in the state!
AAA: Top 30%
AA: Middle 30%
A: Bottom 20%
ALL-STAR: Teams are formed from the local drafted leagues and will not be limited to one age group.
A Team: This Players should be new to travel ball or played on a Low Ranked AA team in 2010. The State Director will move this team up from Single A once they get a few wins and move up in power points and rankings.
AA Team: Cannot have 5 or more players from the 2010 or current roster season that are members of a AAA or Major Team in the same age division. The State Director may reclassify a team after a few events and once you have been reclassified then the statement above is voided.
AAA Team: If you have 5 or more players from the 2010 or current roster season that are members of a AAA Team in age class. The State Director may reclassify a team after a few events and once you have been reclassified then the statement above is voided.
Major Team: If you have 5 or more players from the 2010 or current roster season that are members of a Major Team. The State Director may reclassify a team after a few events and once you have been reclassified then the statement above is voided.
For the purpose of classifications, if four (4) or more players from a PREVIOUS season's roster are on a NEW roster, they are considered the same team regardless of the team name, manager, coaching staff or sponsor.
