We are accessing the field conditions for safety.
We will wait this rain out and resume play after teams warm up. You do not have to evacuate the park as there is no lightning. This is about to pass!
The plan is to reopen the gates just after 2:15pm. Rain is slowing and we will pick up games where they left off and run behind. We will not adjust any game times on the schedules or brackets, so tell your families we are an hour behind.
We are still in a lighting delay. We will update again at 2:10
We are still at .8 miles for lightning. We will be on the clock as soon as we get out of the zone. Next update 1:45
Gates are now open for business. Please check the new times on the updated brackets as we have made adjustments to get this tournament completed. Right now all games are starting at 8am. Thanks for your understanding.
Gate opening is still delayed due to lightning. We have made a decision to adjust game times to for all bracket games to 65 min ($40 PAP) to help get this in. The 8u Division stays at 60 min games. We just adjusted the brackets to reflect that. Doing what we have to do to get this event finished. No rain has actually hit us, so once we get past the lightning safe zone we will open. Next update 7:00am. Stay in vehicles and do no enter the park. RG
Opening of the gates will be pushed back until 7am from 6:30am. There is lightning within the zone. 8am games are set to start on time. We will not adjust the starting time until the delay goes past 7:15am. Remain in your vehicles until notified it is safe to enter park. Next update 6:30am. RG
We need Jasmine Oliphant from Tomball, TX to come to the office at Ford Park.
Gates are open! The umpires on each field will work with both coaches on the restart.
Our team are accessing fields now. Gates are set to reopen at 12:40pm with the goal to start at 1pm. We will give teams time to warm up, and we understand it will take time for re-entry. This will put us over an hour behind for the rest of the day on most fields.
Pool games that were in progress when the lightning delay started will be cancelled. Our plan is to start the 11:30/11:45am rounds at 1pm. We will update at 12:30pm to confirm this directive.
The clock doesn’t start back until the lightning is outside of 6 miles. We will update at 11:45am
We are now in a lighting delay. At least 30 min from 11:00 am. Please keep checking
If the horn blows for lightning everyone must head to their vehicles and vacate the park for at least 30 mins..
Saturday morning games will start as scheduled! Let’s go..
Resume games. All clear to play..
6:45pm Update: We are in a delay. Once the rain stops we will access the fields. After this band of rain we should be in the clear for the rest of the night..
Rain delay: you do not have to exit the park. We are waiting 15-20 mins to let this pass. We will update at 6:45pm. Most fields were ahead on time, so once this pass we plan to resume play for the rest of the games tonight.
As of 6:24 we are at a rain delay.
6pm Update: there is a light drizzle we are dealing with right now but the heavier rains moved south of us. All fields are on schedule right now.
2pm Update: our games are set to start as scheduled. There is a large rain storm just east of the park but it has not rained here. The fields are good! It will be a soggy/messy weekend in the warm up areas that teams will have to work around. We ask that coaches find the safest places to warm up their girls. Here we go!
12:30pm Update: the games for Friday are a go. Ford Park just gave the green light. We will update at 2pm
Event is still a go as of 8am Friday. There is scattered rain in the region but our park has been spared of the heavy downpours these last few days. We will send another update at 12pm and at 2pm to keep teams engaged with the latest information.
