Courtney Knight

Courtney Knight enters his first season as Head Coach of Agnes Scott College in 2023. He comes to Agnes Scott as a player development specialist out of Asheville, NC.


Former SEC and Columbia High School (Decatur, GA) standout Courtney Knight comes to Agnes Scott with over 10 years of collegiate coaching experience, most recently at SC State from 2019-2021, helping win their first game in 6 years; and improving that record to 8 wins in their second season. From 2014-219 he was an assistant at Mars Hill University where he focused on outfielders, pitchers, and hitters; coaching 10 All-SAC athletes.


Prior to Mars Hill, Knight coached two years at Georgia Gwinnett College, helping start the program in 2012, while beginning his coaching career at Truett McConnell College in 2008.


In addition to collegiate coaching, Knight is a seasoned strength and conditioning specialist working both teams and individual athletes. As well as having worked in the Mid Eastern Athletic Conference office assisting the Director of Championships in 2009.

A four-year starter (2003-2006) at the University of Georgia, Knight lead the Bulldogs to two regular season SEC championships, four NCAA Regional appearances and four top-10 national rankings. The Lithonia, GA., native was a two-time All-SEC selection and a three-time All-Southeast Regional pick. The outfielder boasted a career batting average of .344 with a .992 fielding percentage.


Knight earned his bachelor’s degree in 2007 from the University of Georgia, and is a member of the National Strength and Conditioning Association.

Marty Hutchinson

Coach Marty Hutchinson is entering his sixth season with Agnes Scott Softball. His primary duties include infield defense, slapping, and recruiting.


Prior to Agnes Scott, Coach Marty coached A-level travel ball for 13 years within some of the best travel organizations within the southeast including Ga Xtreme, Ga Impact, Worth Cobras, Southern Force and Atlanta Premier Gold. As a travel coach, Marty helped over 30 kids reach their goal of playing college ball across all divisions. When not on the recruiting trail, Marty enjoys spending time with his wife Katie and two children, Anna and Brody.


Marty is a 2000 graduate of Georgia Tech with a degree in Industrial design.

V Dagnino

This is V Dagnino’s second year as a Graduate Assistant at Agnes Scott. Born in Peru to Father, Luigi, and mother, Vanna, Dagnino was raised in the San Francisco Bay Area. Dagnino is a former member of the Peruvian National Softball Team. At the age of 14, became the youngest member on the senior team to play in a world tournament. Dagnino has played in tournaments with the national team in various countries throughout North America, South America, and Europe.


Dagnino graduated from Oberlin College in 2022 as a first-generation student with a Bachelor of Arts in Comparative American Studies. During their time at Oberlin, Dagnino was the starting catcher and a captain for the team. On campus, Dagnino worked closely with Oberlin's Sports Information Office, Football Recruiting, and with the Office of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion. Dagnino also was a part of PRSM, which was a student organization whose members were employed by Oberlin's Title IX office. Their purpose was to create and lead workshops for the college’s consent education program and to raise awareness on campus. They were one of the athletes that intersected their interests and created an Athletic-specific workshop that has since been in place for all of Oberlin Athletics.


As a graduate assistant for Agnes Scott Softball, Dagnino is primarily works with the outfield and assists in recruiting. Off the field, they work closely with the Agnes Scott Athletic Department and helps oversee athletic communications across all sports. Dagnino hopes to graduate May of 2024 with their Masters of Science in Sports Administration.
