Wes Rowe

Wes Rowe has been the head softball coach at Cedarville University since 2008 and is the winningest coach in the program's history.


The Lady Jackets have registered school-record 35-win efforts in 2012, 2014, and 2015 and seven 30-win seasons in all.


Cedarville garnered back-to-back Great Midwest Athletic Conference regular season titles in both 2017 and 2018 thus earning the league’s top seed in the post-season. The Jackets are a four-time runner-up of the G-MAC Tournament in 2013, 2015, 2016, and 2019.


Prior to coming to Cedarville, Rowe was the girls softball varsity assistant coach for one year at Milan High School in Michigan. He served as head coach of the Michigan Dominators 18U travel team for three seasons.


Rowe’s 2005 squad won four tournaments while the 2004 team placed 4th out of 44 teams at the USSSA World Series and earned the Sportsmanship Award in voting by all competing teams. His 2003 club finished 5th in the NSA World Series and 7th in the Super World Series.


Rowe was the assistant coach of the Michigan Mustangs 16U team in 2002 that finished as the USSSA World Series runner-up. He previously served as head coach of the Calvary Christian Academy baseball team in Ypsilanti, Mich. for the 2000 campaign.


Rowe is a 1978 graduate of Cedarville College. He was a starting outfielder during his four-year Yellow Jacket baseball career.


Wes and his wife, Ann, reside in Xenia. All four of their children have graduated from the University including Charissa, who was a four-year outfielder for the Lady Jackets from 2006 through 2009. The Rowes also have five grandchildren.

Kelsey Chapman

Former Lady Jacket All-American Kelsey (Warrington) Chapman returned to the program as an assistant coach beginning with the 2017 season.


Chapman served as head softball coach and compliance coordinator at Ohio Christian University for the 2014-15 and 2015-16 academic years.


Her 2016 club hammered a school-record 23 home runs and had two players named to the All-Kentucky Intercollegiate Athletic Conference First Team.


Chapman took her squad on a missions trip to Costa Rica in May, 2015. The team traveled in association with Score International hosting camps and playing exhibition games.


The Townsend, Delaware product assembled a record-setting career at Cedarville during the 2011 through 2014 seasons. She was named a 2014 NCCAA All-America Second Team performer as a utility player.


She was a three-time NCCAA All-Midwest Region honoree, two-time NCCAA Scholar-Athlete, and a three-time all-conference selection.


Chapman helped the Lady Jackets to 128 victories, two NCCAA Midwest Region championships, and three appearances at the NCCAA National Tournament.


She graduated with eight career school records to her credit and ranked in the Top 10 in 13 categories in all.


Chapman is a 2014 graduate of Cedarville University with a degree in sport management. She earned a masters degree in business administration from Ohio Christian University in 2016.


Kelsey and her husband, Jordan, who is a former Yellow Jacket baseball player, reside in Clifton with their son, Henry.
