QUOTABLE

"I am grateful for the opportunity to lead the softball program and build off the success they had this past season," said LeLeux at the time of her hiring. "I'm excited to work with Amanda (Jones) and Hannah (Talley) and continue to help the athletes grow both on and off the field. I would like to thank Dr. Tim Sceggel for the support he has already shown me in this transition and the overall acceptance of everyone at Covenant College."

Continued LeLeux, "We also want to emphasize the importance of the athletes' relationship with Christ, and mentor them and guide them in this relationship. And finally, we want the athletes to grow into better competitors on the field and use the talents and gifts God has granted them to help the program be successful."

BEFORE COVENANT

LeLeux came to Covenant after a successful run as the head softball coach at Colorado High School in Colorado City, Texas, since 2017.

In her four years as the head coach at Colorado ISD, LeLeux's teams won two area championships and made runs in the postseason three times. In LeLeux's final season at the helm, her team took its second area title in her tenure and advanced to the 2A Region championship game.

LeLeux arrives with Division III experience, as she was a four-year standout at Hardin-Simmons University. A three-time All-American Southwest Conference honoree at first base, she had a career .307 average in 143 games with 17 homers and 50 extra-base hits. LeLeux was also a four-time selection to the Academic All-ASC team.

Additionally, LeLeux spent three years as an instructor at D-BAT Abilene, a premier baseball and softball training facility, while also serving as an intern with the Abilene Christian softball program for one semester.

Originally from Cypress, Texas, LeLeux earned a bachelor's degree in criminal justice and forensic studies from Hardin-Simmons in 2016. She completed a master's of education degree in kinesiology, sport, and recreation from Hardin-Simmons in 2017.

I have used the Soccer in College site for 8 years, and it has helped me keep my personal and soccer information up to date, and has helped be track college contacts and interest. I think the site helped me prepare for college offers, and helped me determine that I wanted to play for UNC.
