Blythe Golden

Golden is starting her 5th season at Chattanooga State with an overall record of 185-55 with a .770 winning percentage. Last season the Lady Tigers compiled a record of 45-20 with a conference record of 28-9. The lady tigers were the Region VII tournament runner-ups. They placed 3 athletes on the TCCAA first team all-region team, 1 NJCAA All-American, and 1 NFCA All-South Region selection. She also had 9 players on the TCCAA All-Academic team.


In four seasons at Chattanooga State, Coach Golden has had 8 NJCAA All-American Selections, TCCAA Pitcher of the year, TCCAA Player of the Year, and she personally received TCCAA Coach of the Year in 2014. She has helped 19 players sign National Letters of Intent with 4 year colleges (11 Division I, 6 Division II, and 2 NAIA) in her four seasons at Chattanooga State. In Golden’s first three seasons, Chattanooga State had back to back 3rd place NJCAA Tournament finishes (2014 & 2015).


Before arriving at Chattanooga State Golden spent 4 seasons at Gulf Coast State College helping them compile over 150 wins in four seasons and a national tournament appearance in 2009. During her stint at Gulf Coast Golden obtained a MS in Kinesiology with an emphasis in coaching from Texas Woman's University in the fall of 2011. During this time Golden was able to complete the National Fastpitch Coaches College and receive recognition as a 4 star master coach by the NFCA.


Golden played at Gulf Coast under Coach Susan Painter for two seasons. While at Gulf Coast she helped lead the team to the conference championship in 2005 and 2006; the 2005 State championship; and the 2006 national runner-up. As a freshman, Blythe earned First Team All-Conference, Conference Player of the Year, First Team All-Region, First Team All-State, and First Team All-American. As a sophomore, she received First Team All-Conference, First Team All-Region, First Team All-State and Second Team All-American. In the classroom Blythe faired just as well being selected to the Panhandle All-Academic team in 2005 and 2006; and the President's list in Spring 2006.


While at Stetson, Blythe started at catcher in 126 of the team's 128 games over two seasons. All that time catching Stetson's fine pitching staff has enabled her to reach seventh place in career putouts (788). Her 2007 season she batted .240 with 11 doubles (good for second on the team and 11th in program history for a single season), four home runs and 23 RBI. Her 390 putouts were the sixth-highest season total in Stetson history. Golden homered in each game of a May 3 doubleheader at Jacksonville to lead the Hatters to a sweep and also belted a solo home run in the Atlantic Sun conference tournament against Lipscomb. A preseason All-Conference selection in 2008, Golden hit six career home runs and drove in 38 runs in two seasons. Golden was walked 22 times and been hit by 10 pitches that season, helping her to record a .373 on-base percentage, fourth on the team. She left Stetson as one of the top defensive players at her position or any other. She also received the Wendell N. Jarrard Sr. Award for a student athlete who exemplifies academic excellence, athletic competition, leadership and moral values in 2008. She was also the recipient of the Bob Gillies Award for a student-athlete who exemplifies dedication, determination, desire, and discipline. Academic - BA in Sport Management.


Golden played under Coach Robyn Gauger at Marianna High School in Marianna, Fla. She helped lead her team to the 2004 district championship title; was selected to the National Honor Society, the Beta club and was an honor graduate.

Amanda Brooke Lindsey

Chattanooga State: Staring 3rd season as the Lady Tigers Assistant/Pitching Coach. Under her supervision Lindsey coached 4 All-Region selections, Pitcher of the year selection, and tournament MVP selection. Her staff compiled 647 strikeouts in her first two seasons at Chattanooga State. In these two seasons Coach Lindsey's staff compiled 30 shutouts and kept their opponents' batting average to .242.


Seminole State: From August 2010 until February 2011 Lindsey worked as the assistant coach helping in all aspects of the game focusing on pitching. Left Seminole to pursue professional career.


Bethune-Cookman University (Daytona Beach, FL): Lindsey coached one season for the lady wildcats helping them win their third consecutive MEAC championship and reach their third straight NCAA Division I regional appearance. While at Bethune-Cookman, Lindsey focused on teaching hitting and defense.


The Netherlands: From February 2011-October 2011 Lindsey played for the Dutch club team Olympia Haarlem. She led the league in victories and strikeouts. She helped her team reach the playoffs for the first time in club history. While in the Netherlands, Lindsey helped coach the Juniors team for the city of Haarlem.


Stetson: In 2007 Lindsey recorded a 9-5 pitching record with 99 strikeouts in 105.2 innings and a 1.85 ERA while also batting .224 with three home runs and 16 RBI. The third homerun of the season came during the Atlantic Sun conference championship game, that helped propel Stetson to its first Atlantic Sun conference championship and NCAA Regional appearance. During the 2008 season Lindsey made 37 starts in the pitching circle and 28 others at designated player...went 24-14 with 1.41 ERA and school record 277 strikeouts...ranked second in the Atlantic Sun in strikeouts and third in wins and ERA...threw league-leading 14 shutouts, including no-hitter against Jacksonville University. At the plate, batted .215 with seven home runs (second on the team) and 28 RBI...ended the season on a nine-game hitting streak...named to the Atlantic Sun All-Tournament Team after hitting two game-tying home runs and tossing a one-hitter.In 2009 Lindsey recorded a 12-15 record with 1.74 ERA and 188 strikeouts in 26 starts and three relief appearances in the circle...four shutouts...averaging more than seven strikeouts per seven innings...batted .238 with four home runs, two doubles and 17 RBI (second on the team)...drew 22 walks. Began the season with 22.2 innings without allowing an earned run...A-Sun Pitcher of the Week during March.In 2010 in her final season at Stetson Lindsey received 2nd Team All Conference - 3 Time Pitcher of the Week - All Tournament Team - 2nd Team All-South Region UT/P - Stetson's Distinguished Senior Award. She went 25-12 with a 1.21 ERA and 264 strikeouts in the circle and also batted .278 with 9 home runs, 22 RBI and 40 walks. She ranked eighth in the nation in earned run average and third in the Atlantic Sun Conference. Lindsey concluded her career with a program record 828 career strikeouts and 70 victories, good for third all-time at Stetson. She also is 2nd in Shut-outs with 28 and 3rd in home runs with 23. Pitched 5 inning perfect game 3/6/10 against Maine and No-Hit Austin Peay in seven innings on 3/9/10 helping Coach Griffin earn his 700 victory. She hit a walk-off Grand Slam against Kennesaw State on 4/24/10; Pitched complete game against Nationally Ranked Alabama only allowing 6 hits and 1 unearned run with 9 strike-outs on 2/20/10 and recorded her season high strike-outs (14) against Jacksonville on 5/6/10 to secure the 2nd Seed in the A-Sun Conference Tournament.


High School: Prepped at St. Benedict at Auburndale HS in Cordova, Tenn. ... in 2005 went 32-5 as a pitcher at St. Benedict's... led the team with a .490 batting average with 30 RBI's.. threw a perfect game to lead her team to the D2 West Region title... 20 shutouts...Played for Head Coach Christy Bingham... named Best of the Preps 2005 Softball Players of the Year ... ... chosen 2-time region MVP: 3 time - first team all-region all-metro ... named to 2-time to Tennessee All-state team as a pitcher ... named Commercial Appeal Player of the Week... received scholar-athlete award all four years. Lindsey graduated with Honors in 2006.
