Lyndsey Angus

Lyndsey Angus was named Pensacola State's Head Coach in the summer of 2015. Angus is a native of Leominster, Massachusetts and comes to the Panhandle after spending the last five seasons as an assistant coach at the University of New Mexico.


Coach Angus was named Associate Athletic Director in 2021.


Last season ('22-'23) the Pirates finished with a 33-16 record and placed fourth at the State Tournament.


The '21-'22 season was Coach Angus' most successful at PSC. The team compiled a 39-11 overall record and won the Panhandle Conference Championship. The Pirates went 2-2 at the Florida State Tournament and was eliminated by the eventual National Champion Florida Southwestern.


In the previous season PSC was 30-9 and shared the Panhandle Conference Championship.


Coach Angus holds a 223-135 overall record in her career at PSC.


Prior to her stint with the Lobo's Angus was part of a 2010 Kentucky staff that led the team to one of its most successful seasons in school history, the school's first national ranking and its second consecutive NCAA Tournament appearance. Angus was a four-year letter-winner for the Wildcats from 2000-2003. In her freshman season, the Wildcats captured the Southeastern Conference Eastern Division crown. Three times she was an All-SEC selection and an All-Academic team member on two occasions.


Angus was named to the National Fastpitch Coaches Association Regional Team in both her junior and senior seasons. As a senior in 2003, she paced the SEC in batting average, hitting a blistering .429. In each of her four seasons she was among the top 10 in batting average in the conference. Additionally, Angus still ranks among the all-time leaders at UK in 14 categories, including the career record for most walks.


Prior to joining the Kentucky staff, Angus spent three seasons, 2007-2009, as an assistant coach at Centenary College in Shreveport, Louisiana, working under former UK assistant coach Mark Montgomery. With the Ladies, Angus was involved in all aspects of the program, including recruiting, scouting, conditioning and on-field instruction.


In 2009, Centenary posted a 32-23 overall record and a 13-9 mark in the Summit League. The Ladies appeared in the conference championship game before falling to Western Illinois.


Prior to her arrival at Centenary, Angus spent a year as a graduate assistant coach at Valdosta (Ga.) State. She graduated from UK in 2004 with a bachelor's degree in kinesiology and business administration.


After college Angus played in the National Pro Fastpitch League for six seasons, starting out with the New England Riptide for five sesaons and finishing with the Rockford Thunder. Angus was named the NPF Most Valuable Player in 2006 and was a member of the All-NPF team in 2005, 2006 and 2008. In her most productive season, Angus batted .357 with 19 RBI and seven doubles in 2005. In her professional career, Angus appeared in 257 games and charted 195 career hits.

Caroline Powell

Coach Powell is entering her eighth season as assistant coach at Pensacola State. She also serves as the athletic department's sports information director.


Prior to joining the PSC staff in September of 2016 she served as an assistant coach at Highland Community College in Kansas. She assisted with all areas of offensive and defensive instruction, practice planning and was in charge of mental training. The Scotties were champions of Region VI and competed in the NJCAA tournament while placing seven players on the All-Region team and having the Player of the Year.


Before working at Highland Powell was an assistant coach at Chattanooga State Community College where she helped with all areas of the program. The Tigers completed the 2015 season by placing third at the NJCAA tournament and had three players named to the All-Tournament team and two players named NJCAA 1st team All-Americans.


Prior to Chattanooga State Powell spent five seasons as the Head Coach with Olympia Haarlem in the Netherlands professional league. Upon her arrival Olympia had just promoted to play in the highest league and during her tenure Olympia established themselves as one of the top three teams in the league and qualified for the playoffs three times. In her five seasons Powell saw seven of her players make the Dutch National Team. In August 2014 Olympia hosted the ISF World Championship of softball and Powell was in charge of social media for the event.


From 2007 through 2009 Powell worked with the University of Tennessee softball team as a graduate assistant manager while receiving her Master's degree in Sport Studies with a concentration in Sports Psychology.


Powell started her college playing career at Palm Beach Community College before transferring to Samford University to play her final two years. After completing her eligibility she served as a student assistant with the softball team during her fifth year. Powell received her Bachelor's degree in Physical Education.


Powell is originally from Semora, NC and graduated from Person High School while lettering in volleyball, basketball and softball.

Jennifer Mckibben

Jennifer McKibben joined the Pensacola State staff as a volunteer assistant in the fall of 2015. She came from the University of New Mexico where she was an assistant coach from 2013-2015.


McKibben worked with Lobo catchers, threw BP during practices and assisted in other capacities as needed.


Prior to UNM McKibben spent the last eight years as an assistant under Patti Townsend at Tallahassee Community College where she helped guide the Eagles to six appearances in the NJCAA Region8B/FCSAA Gulf District Tournament, capturing titles in 2008 and 2011.


In addition to serving as the recruiting and summer camp coordinator, McKibben mentored Tallahassee's pitchers, catchers and infielders and produced 50 All-Panhandle Conference players.


McKibben played college softball first at Tallahassee and then at Virginia Tech. While with the Eagles, she earned several accolades: First-team All-Panhandle Conference, All-FCSAA, All-Region, FCSAA All-Tournament and third team NFCA All-America.


McKibben continued to flourish while playing at Virginia Tech under Scot Thomas. She was named First-team All-Atlantic 10 twice and also earned the Hokies' Defense Player of the Year in 1997 and the team's Most Valuable Player in 1998. Her name still stands in the VT record books. In addition to sharing the record for most home runs in a game (2), she finished her career among the Hokies' all-time leaders in batting average (5th, .332) and on base percentage (8th, .392).


McKibben began coaching softball in 1999, starting at the high school level. She has been a member of camp staffs at the University of Florida, Florida State University, Virginia Tech and the University of Texas-El Paso. She has also been a featured coach at Triple Crown Sports All-American games, both in Florida and Colorado.
