TOURNAMENT RULES & INFORMATION Rules/Format: We will be using USA rules with some Showcase exceptions.  You can bat your entire roster and make free defensive substitutions. Home team is decided by a coin toss at plate meeting. There must be a number on the back of every jersey. If you have a guest player, they can wear their team’s jersey as long as it is numbered. Metal cleats are allowed. Courtesy runners can be any rostered player. Catchers warming up the pitchers must wear a catcher’s mask. This is a non-protestable Showcase. Arguments with the umpiring staff will not be tolerated. Should this happen, your team is subject to ejection and all remaining games will be forfeited. Note: This is a college showcase; coaches are there to watch the players! Misconduct will not be tolerated from coaches, players or fans. Should ANY misconduct occur, the individual and team are subject to ejection with no refund of entry fee. Five (5) game guarantee. At a minimum, each team on Saturday will play three (3) games and will play two (2) games on Sunday. Game times are 1:45 finish the batter, or 7 full innings; whichever comes first.  No time-outs are allowed in the last five (5) minutes of the game. Games tied at the expiration of the allowed time will end in a tie. It is important that the tournament stays on time for the benefit of the collegiate coaches. Games can begin no earlier than 5 minutes prior to scheduled game time. Again, to assist college coaches in their scheduling Each team MUST turn in the following documents at the check-in table prior to your first game. Completed and signed waiver form Proof of current team insurance   CANCELLATION/REFUND POLICY- After acceptance, any team withdrawing prior to schedules being sent out will receive a 50% refund. No refunds after schedules are sent out. If weather or some unforeseen event reduces the number of games played, or causes the cancellation of the event, up to a maximum of 50% of the entry fee may be refunded, solely at the discretion of the tournament director.
